Sara Martinez-Fabila, a 48-year-old woman, was last seen on July 12, 2016, in Paradise, California. Sara had brown hair, brown eyes, and stood about 5'6", weighing 170 pounds. She struggled with mental health issues, including bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression, as well as alcoholism. Despite these challenges, she had gone through an 18-month treatment program prior to her disappearance and was committed to staying on her psychiatric medication.

Her last known sighting was by her ex-boyfriend, who reported that they went hiking together at the flumes in Paradise. This ex-boyfriend is currently considered a person of interest, as he was the last person known to have been with her. Although she was officially reported missing after the 2018 Camp Fire, which devastated Paradise, authorities believe she may have been missing well before then, as her family had not heard from her since 2016. Due to the lack of contact and suspicious circumstances, foul play is now suspected.

Investigators continue to search for answers, and the Butte County Sheriff's Department remains in charge of the case. Despite the time that has passed, Sara's whereabouts remain unknown, and her case is still unsolved.
