In the summer of 2013, a sense of unease settled over a Memphis, Tennessee community with the disappearance of 73-year-old Male Perry Johnson. When he was last seen, Johnson was wearing a maroon shirt with small vertical yellow stripes, and light green or gray cotton pants. He was also wearing black diabetic-style shoes that resembled tennis shoes and fastened with two Velcro straps. It was noted that he was not driving his vehicle at the time of his disappearance. The circumstances surrounding his sudden absence were puzzling, as there were no immediate indications of where he might have gone or what might have happened to him. The investigation into Perry Johnson's disappearance was handled by the Memphis Police Department.
