John Edward Parks, 25, was last seen on March 28, 1982, in Richland County, South Carolina. That day, Parks received a call about a truck he had been using to help move into his own place. He left home to check on it but never returned. Initially, there was no alarm since he had been known to be away for a few days at a time. However, concern grew when his family learned he had never arrived at his intended destination.
