Gloria Palmer, 44, was last seen in the early hours of June 29, 1989, in St. Joseph, Missouri. She had spent the evening with her sons and daughter-in-law celebrating her son David’s 21st birthday. The group visited various local bars, including the Painted Pony Lounge, and parted ways around 2:00 a.m. Palmer's sons followed her as she drove her Mazda truck on Interstate 29 but lost sight of her as she took the I-229 exit. This was the last confirmed sighting of Palmer.
