Michael Joseph Gibbs, 26 years old, was last seen on the morning of April 25, 1998, at his residence on Minton Road in Melbourne, Florida. He was seen by his girlfriend, who left for work at 7:30 a.m., leaving Gibbs and his brother at the house. Gibbs had planned to work on his vehicle’s engine and later visit a park with his girlfriend. However, when his parents stopped by the house at 11:30 a.m., Gibbs was no longer there, and his brother, who woke up later in the afternoon, was unable to
reach him by pager.
Strangely, Gibbs left behind his Harley Davidson motorcycle and his beloved dog, indicating that his departure was unexpected. His sudden disappearance raised concerns, especially since he was known as a reliable employee at Gator Chrysler Plymouth Suzuki, where he had never missed a day of work prior to vanishing.
