Huston Elwood Cozart, a 73-year-old man from Jay, Florida, went missing on May 18, 2000, following a hit-and-run accident in Century, Florida. After the accident, Cozart crossed the state line to Brewton, Alabama, where he abandoned his vehicle and received a ride to his son's home in Jay. However, he never made it inside the home, and his family never saw him again.
His identification, money, and personal belongings were later found at the residence, along with a note he had written explaining where his car could be found.
Despite an initial investigation, Cozart has not been located, and no further information has surfaced about his whereabouts. He was last seen wearing a light-colored, long-sleeved shirt and white sneakers. Cozart was known to wear eyeglasses and may have been using a knee brace at the time of his disappearance.
