That day, her husband dropped her off at Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles, intending to park the car while she went inside. However, when he returned, Mallen had disappeared. She never checked into the hospital and left behind essential items, including her wallet, money, and identification.
Mallen had several medical conditions and urgently required her medication, raising concerns that she could have been unstable without it. She was last seen wearing a long tan dress and a tan blouse, and had a distinctive four-inch, diamond-shaped burn scar on her upper right leg. Despite searches and investigations, her case remains unsolved, and her whereabouts are still unknown.
