Kayoko Tomoikari, a 40-year-old woman, was last seen on January 8, 2003, in Menlo Park, California. Suffering from depression at the time, she was taking medication for her condition, and authorities believe her mental health may have played a role in her disappearance. Two days later, her red 1996 Toyota Corolla was found abandoned in the parking lot of the San Francisco Presidio, less than half a mile from the Golden Gate Bridge.
