Brian Patrick Miller, a 31-year-old man, was last seen on the evening of June 1, 2014, in Houston, Texas, near FM 1960 and Aldine Westfield Road. He was driving his silver 2000 Chevrolet Malibu at the time. Miller vanished under troubling circumstances, and several days later, on June 6, his car was found abandoned along U.S. Highway 79, between Jacksonville and Palestine, Texas—about four hours from Houston.
The car had been left with its windows down, the battery removed, and a note indicating friends were supposed to pick him up.
Prior to his disappearance, Miller withdrew $18,000 from his trust fund and left his belongings, along with a note, at his best friend's house, specifying how they should be distributed. His friends feared he was contemplating suicide, as he had a history of depression. Although two guns were in his possession, only one was recovered, leaving the possibility that he took the other weapon with him.
Miller had several distinctive tattoos, including a tribal bull on his left forearm, and the phrase "Death before Dishonor" on a skeleton tattoo on his left shoulder. Despite extensive investigations, his case remains unsolved, and foul play has not been ruled out.
