In the late summer of 2014, a 34-year-old man named Christopher 'Topher' Dale Bernards vanished from the side of a busy interstate in Oregon, leaving behind his car and a sparse trail of clues. His last confirmed sighting was on September 8, 2014, near Cottage Grove, Oregon.
