In the autumn of 2014, a family's life was irrevocably changed by the sudden and perplexing disappearance of Timothy Raymond Stanton. At 40 years old, Timothy was last seen by his grandmother, with whom he lived, on the afternoon of September 29, 2014, in the Evanston neighborhood of Cincinnati, Ohio. On that Monday, at approximately 2:15 p.m., he left their residence on Fairfax Avenue, and simply vanished. Timothy, who often went by the nickname "T-Spoon," was a Black male, standing six feet tall and weighing around 170 pounds. At the time he went missing, his head was shaved bald and he was clean-shaven. He has distinctive scars near his left eyebrow and under his left eye. His absence became a deep and painful wound for his loved ones, who have been searching for answers ever since. Timothy's life at the time was marked by a series of personal challenges and hopeful new beginnings. He was navigating a difficult period, which included problems with his wife and struggles with substance abuse. He also lived with bipolar disorder and required medication, which he was taking regularly but did not have with him when he disappeared. Despite these hurdles, Timothy was reportedly trying to stay on a positive path. A few years prior, he had discovered he was the father of two children and was actively working to build relationships and bond with them. Without a vehicle of his own, Timothy relied on the Cincinnati metro bus system for transportation and was known to frequent several neighborhoods, including Camp Washington, Clifton, downtown, Madisonville, Over-The-Rhine, Price Hill, Walnut Hills, and Washington Park. His cell phone was his main point of connection, but after his disappearance, all calls went directly to voicemail, deepening his family's concern. From the moment he failed to return home, his family was consumed with worry. Timothy maintained regular contact, especially with his grandmother, and his sudden silence was highly uncharacteristic. His family has consistently stated their belief that he met with foul play, a fear compounded by the fact that he had allegedly been threatened in the time leading up to his disappearance. In the difficult days and weeks that followed, his loved ones organized searches in the areas he was known to frequent, hoping for any sign of him. Despite their efforts and police investigation, no solid leads have ever emerged to explain what happened to Timothy. The years have passed without a resolution, leaving his family in a state of prolonged grief and uncertainty. The case of Timothy Stanton is an overview of a man grappling with personal struggles while trying to connect with his newfound family, whose unexplained disappearance has left a void in the lives of those who love him.
