David Klein, aged 6, disappeared along with his two younger brothers, Kenneth (8) and Daniel (4), on November 10, 1951, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The three boys left their home on Colfax Avenue North to play at Farview Park, just four blocks away, but were never seen again. Despite an extensive search, no solid evidence of their whereabouts surfaced.
Investigators initially believed the boys had accidentally fallen into the nearby Mississippi River, as a tracking dog traced their scent to the riverbank. Two caps and their Roman Catholic catechisms were found near the water, which reinforced this theory. However, searches of the river and surrounding areas failed to recover their bodies.
Over time, family members and some investigators began to doubt the drowning theory. Suspicion grew that the boys may have been abducted. Despite various suspects and leads, including a former playground worker and a man with a suspicious history who lived nearby, no substantial breakthroughs occurred.
