In the small town of West Point, Virginia, the evening of May 20, 1957, marked the last time 16-year-old Elsie Mae Roane was ever seen. A local police officer spotted the female teenager standing near the intersection of Main Street and Seventh Street around 11:00 p.m., holding two suitcases.
