Curtis’s case remained a mystery for years until infamous serial killer Ted Bundy confessed to her murder shortly before his execution in 1989. Bundy claimed to have abducted and killed Susan, stating that her body was buried near a highway in Utah, though he could not recall the exact location. Despite his confession, her remains have never been located, and her case remains officially unsolved.
