Nickolas Saling, 53, was last seen on October 20, 2019, during a sailing trip near Lummi Island, Washington. He was sailing on a 25-foot yellow sailboat to Cypress Island but failed to return as expected. His sister reported him missing the following morning. The U.S. Coast Guard immediately launched a search operation involving multiple teams, including crews from Coast Guard Station Bellingham and Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles.
