Juanita Faulkner, age 51, was last seen on April 20, 1987, at her home in Los Angeles County, California. At the time of her disappearance, she was dealing with significant personal issues, including health concerns and depression related to a recent divorce. Faulkner suffered from a heart condition, for which she had a pacemaker, and a behavior disorder. She was described as being 5'5" tall, weighing between 110-125 pounds, with shoulder-length blonde hair and green eyes.
She also had a distinctive strawberry birthmark on her shin.
Her disappearance was deemed suspicious. In July 1987, three months after she vanished, her car was discovered parked in San Pedro near Point Fermin. The vehicle had been there for at least a month, but no signs of foul play were found inside. Investigators believe she had very little money at the time of her disappearance and had not accessed any of her bank accounts since.
