On the day of her disappearance, her roommate called Boggio's mother, claiming that Christine had gone to a store and never returned. He then asked her mother to pick up Christine's belongings from their home.

When Christine's mother arrived to collect her daughter’s things, she found only a few items: a book of poems, a sewing machine, and a box of knickknacks. All of Christine's personal belongings, including her purse, identification, and clothing, were missing. She was never heard from again. Her family, convinced that Christine would not have voluntarily cut off all contact, has remained deeply concerned. Despite investigations, her case remains unsolved, and authorities have not uncovered any major leads in the years since her disappearance.
