At the time, Moore led a transient lifestyle and was known to stay in the Bay Pines area, although he occasionally traveled to other parts of the country. After his disappearance, there was some activity related to his Veterans Affairs benefits, as records indicate he received physical therapy at the Heinz Veterans Administration Hospital in Chicago between December 1998 and January 1999.
