George Ralph Cooper, 52 years old, was last seen on May 25, 2015, while visiting Little Talbot Island near Jacksonville, Florida. Cooper and his stepdaughter had gone into the water to wash off sand when they were both caught by a riptide. Although three police officers were able to swim 300 yards to rescue his stepdaughter, Cooper was swept away by the current and never resurfaced. Despite extensive search efforts, his body was never recovered, and he is presumed to have drowned.
