Pablo Murillo-Alcaraz, a 21-year-old man, went missing on May 3, 2012, near Union Creek, Oregon. According to reports, he was last seen by family members standing on the bank of the Rogue River, where he removed his shirt and shoes. While standing on wet rocks, he slipped and fell into the river, which was running high and cold due to spring runoff. His head was briefly spotted a short distance downstream before he was swept over a 12-foot waterfall and disappeared from sight.
