Jade Marie Humble was a young woman with a promising future ahead of her. A bright student who graduated from Kings High School, she had aspirations of attending college. Her mother described her as someone who loved to learn, read, write, and draw, excelling at everything she put her mind to. However, during her senior year, Jade started associating with a different crowd and developed an addiction to heroin. This led her down a difficult path, and despite attempts to get clean, including a stay at a sober living house, she relapsed. At the time of her disappearance, she was unemployed, having been fired from her job as a cashier for not showing up. Despite the challenges she faced, Jade maintained contact with her family, making her subsequent silence all the more alarming. In the time leading up to her disappearance, Jade was staying with a friend at an apartment in the 4200 block of Georgia Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio. The last time her mother spoke with her was on December 4, 2014, when Jade called using a friend's phone. Reports indicate she was last seen on December 24, 2014, at the apartment where she was staying. Another account suggests a friend received a distressing call from Jade, in which she said she was in trouble and needed to be picked up, but the friend was unable to leave work. Jade, who did not have a car or a cell phone, was known to frequent the Northside area of Cincinnati. Her disappearance was considered uncharacteristic, as she had always stayed in touch with her family despite her lifestyle. Jade Humble has several distinguishing physical features. She is a white female with sandy blonde or strawberry blonde hair and green eyes. At the time she went missing, she was 22 years old, stood at approximately 5'7", and weighed around 110 pounds. She has multiple tattoos, including a Playboy bunny on the upper right side of her back, the name "Jade" on her buttock, a heart with a man's name and a date on her ankle, and a star design on her left arm or shoulder. She also has a surgical scar on the top of her left hand and several missing teeth, including an eyetooth. A car accident in 2013 had also left her with a broken neck. The investigation into her disappearance has been met with difficulties, as some of Jade's acquaintances have been unwilling to cooperate with law enforcement. Foul play is suspected in her case, which remains unsolved. Rumors have circulated about her fate, but police have been unable to substantiate these claims. Her family continues to hold out hope for answers, remembering the bright and talented young woman she was before her struggles with addiction.
