On a summer evening in Brooklyn, New York, 27-year-old Aliyah Boomer disappeared after a day spent with a friend. On August 15, 2015, Aliyah attended a barbecue at Prospect Park. Following the barbecue, she and her friend went to the friend's home in the Red Hook housing projects. Later that evening, around 11:00 p.m., Aliyah decided to go to another barbecue. Her friend chose to stay home, and Aliyah left by herself, but she never made it to the second gathering. The last known potential contact from Aliyah was a phone call made to her sister at 3:00 a.m. on August 16th. Her sister was asleep and missed the call; no message was left. Aliyah Boomer has not been seen or heard from since that night. At the time she went missing, she was a student pursuing a degree in nursing. Initially, Aliyah's mother, with whom she lived in the Sheepshead Bay area, was not immediately alarmed, as it wasn't unusual for Aliyah to stay out for a night. However, concern grew when Aliyah did not return home for two consecutive nights and, most alarmingly, missed her sister's birthday on August 18. This uncharacteristic silence and her absence from the family celebration prompted her loved ones to report her missing. Her family has consistently stated that it was not in her character to be out of touch, and they do not believe she would have voluntarily left without any warning. The days turned into years, and with very few details about the investigation being made public, the case quickly went cold, leaving her family without answers. Years after her disappearance, a strange and mysterious event brought a potential, though unverified, clue to light. In 2021, Aliyah's family received an anonymous letter with a return address from the Bronx. The letter claimed that people in a specific apartment building knew what had happened to Aliyah. It disturbingly suggested that she had been sent out on a "drug run" and never returned. This information has not been publicly verified, and the case remains an unsolved and painful mystery for her loved ones. The overview of this case is that Aliyah Boomer, a young woman with a future in nursing, vanished after leaving a friend's residence to attend a party. Despite an early morning phone call to her sister, all communication ceased, and her whereabouts remain unknown. The receipt of an anonymous letter years later introduced a troubling new lead, but has not led to a resolution, leaving her family to continue their long and heart-wrenching search for answers.
