Robin Ann Graham, an 18-year-old college student, disappeared on November 14, 1970, in Los Angeles, California. That evening, Graham's car ran out of gas while she was driving southbound on the Hollywood Freeway. After pulling over near the Santa Monica Boulevard exit, she contacted her parents by phone, asking them to come pick her up. A California Highway Patrol officer also stopped to offer help, but Graham indicated that assistance was already on its way.
