Rebecca Doisy, age 23, went missing on August 5, 1976, from Columbia, Missouri. At the time, she was a waitress and former University of Missouri student who had left her apartment with a man named Johnny Wright. Wright, who was known to have a criminal background, had persistently asked Rebecca out, and she eventually agreed. They were last seen together at a local tavern.
