David G. Morrison, a 30-year-old man from Hammond, Indiana, was last seen on December 1, 1979. He was the owner of a high-end stereo store in Munster, Indiana, called Stereo Components Inc. Early that morning, police were called to his store after reports of a suspicious white car with four men inside. When officers arrived, the car was gone, but the store door was unlocked, and the cash register was open.
There were no signs of forced entry, but blood was found on the doorframe and on a set of keys inside.
Later that day, a friend checked Morrison's nearby home and found it ransacked. Inside, police discovered blood and hair, as well as a bloodstained snow shovel. His vehicle, a white Pontiac Grand Am with vanity plates reading "STEREO," was missing. Three days later, the car was found abandoned in South Holland, Illinois, with bloodstains in the back seat and on the passenger door, along with Morrison’s driver’s license inside.
Additionally, a body believed to be that of a white male was seen floating in Lake Michigan on the morning of Morrison’s disappearance, but before the body could be retrieved, it was swept away by the current. Authorities were never able to recover the body, leaving Morrison’s disappearance an unsolved case. Investigators consider his case a homicide, but no arrests have been made.Last Seen: Dec 1, 1979
