Denise Beaudin, a 23-year-old woman from Manchester, New Hampshire, was last seen on November 26, 1981. She, along with her infant daughter and her boyfriend, Robert "Bob" Evans, spent Thanksgiving with her family in Goffstown. Shortly after, Denise's family tried to visit her at her apartment on Hayward Street on December 1, but found no one home. At the time, her family assumed she and Evans had left due to financial difficulties, and she was not reported missing.
