Michael Fischer, aged 19, was last seen on August 14, 1984, in Bloomfield, Connecticut. He had attended his mother's funeral that day but subsequently disappeared. His family did not hear from him for several years, until they received a postcard from him in September 1987, postmarked from Florida.
