On September 18, 1984, 28-year-old Ronald L. Gilbert and his associate, Gary F. Lansaw, disappeared from Terre Haute, Indiana. The two men were last seen that day as they were reportedly traveling between Terre Haute and the area of Paris, Illinois. It is believed that their trip was for the purpose of collecting a $2,800 drug-related debt from a man named Jerome E. Board.
