Roberto Franco, age 54, was last seen on August 8, 1985, in Miami, Florida. Originally from Cuba, Franco had migrated to the United States in 1971 with his family. On the day of his disappearance, he informed his wife that he was going to a local bakery and then planned to visit a friend in the area. Franco was driving a blue 1980 or 1981 Chevrolet pickup truck with a camper shell at the time.
