Teresa Lynn Wisner, 24 years old, was last seen on May 24, 1990, in Anderson, Indiana. On the night of her disappearance, Teresa left her home and was later seen at Roxie's Airport Inn in Elwood. She made a phone call from the bar at around 10:00 p.m. and was reportedly seen leaving with an unidentified person. Around 10:30 p.m., two witnesses saw a woman matching Teresa's description walking along Indiana State Road 37, being followed by a man in a car who shouted at her before
driving away.
Two days after her disappearance, her gray 1979 Toyota Celica was found abandoned on the side of Indiana 37 with a flat tire, but there were no signs of Teresa nearby. Teresa had been planning to file for divorce from her husband, James Wisner, the day before she vanished, and foul play is strongly suspected in her case. Although James was identified as a suspect, no charges have ever been filed, and Teresa’s body has never been found. She left behind a young son and had no history of mental illness or instability, further raising concerns about her sudden disappearance.
