In the autumn of 1998, concern grew for a 29-year-old man from Lakewood, Colorado, named Carlos Arturo Bostick. His disappearance was marked by a deeply unsettling event when he failed to arrive for a scheduled parental exchange to drop off his children. This out-of-character action immediately raised alarms for his family.
