Ashley Lee James, a 16-year-old girl, was last seen on April 30, 2006, when she ran away from the Gemini House, a shelter in Lakewood, Colorado. Before arriving at the shelter, Ashley had been living on the streets, and her background was marked by uncertainty, as no one knew the whereabouts of her parents or family. The Gemini House, which has since closed, was providing care for Ashley at the time of her disappearance.
