Joseph Scott, a 59-year-old Native American man, was last seen on November 1, 2009, in Pala, California, where he resided. Scott, also known by the nickname "Pookie" and occasionally using the last name "Hawk," lived a relatively quiet life in the area. He was a member of the San Luiseno Indian tribe and was known to frequent local casinos in both San Diego and Riverside counties. At the time of his disappearance, Scott primarily relied on a bicycle for transportation.
