Scott, also known by the nickname "Pookie" and occasionally using the last name "Hawk," lived a relatively quiet life in the area. He was a member of the San Luiseno Indian tribe and was known to frequent local casinos in both San Diego and Riverside counties. At the time of his disappearance, Scott primarily relied on a bicycle for transportation.
His absence was first noticed when he failed to collect his Christmas bonus from the tribal hall, a highly unusual occurrence for him. Concerned, his cousin went to check on him at his trailer, but no one responded to her knocks. After alerting tribal authorities, a further investigation revealed that the trailer was deserted, and there was no sign of Scott. While there have been occasional unconfirmed sightings, including a potential one in Tijuana, Mexico, in 2015, his whereabouts remain unknown.
