Vincent Moore, a four-month-old infant, was last seen on July 11, 2015, in Wichita, Kansas. He had been in the care of his father, Gary McKensey Moore Jr., who was spotted carrying Vincent and a blue floral-print diaper bag as they left a home near 31st Street South and Hydraulic. Gary had been caring for Vincent and his two-year-old brother since June, following a visit arranged by the children's mother, Michelle Mendez.
Despite Mendez's repeated attempts to contact Gary and see her children, she was unable to reach them during that time.
Gary Moore was arrested on July 29, 2015, in Wichita, during a traffic stop. While Vincent’s brother was found with him, Vincent was not. Gary claimed that he had returned the infant to his mother, a statement that Mendez firmly denied. Despite the investigation, no charges have been filed in relation to Vincent's disappearance, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
The case has led to significant concerns from Vincent’s relatives, who believe that more could have been done to find him. In October 2015, child welfare authorities suggested that Vincent was likely deceased, but his case is still officially unsolved.
