In the pre-dawn hours of July 15, 2016, a 16-year-old female named Lashaya Stine vanished from her home in Aurora, Colorado. A promising student on the honor roll at George Washington High School, she had dreams of a future in nursing and had recently secured a coveted internship at the University of Colorado Hospital.
