Esmeralda Pargas, a 41-year-old mother from Houston, Texas, was last seen on August 3, 2016. Her disappearance led to a tragic discovery when skeletal remains were found four weeks later in a vacant lot in Liberty County, Texas. DNA testing confirmed the remains belonged to Pargas. In 2018, her acquaintance, Sabrina Olarosa Garcia, was arrested and charged with her murder. Garcia is believed to have lured Pargas under the pretense of a meeting before killing her.
