Frank Thomas Christensen, a 19-year-old U.S. Air Force airman, disappeared on July 8, 1977. After visiting his family in Racine, Wisconsin, during an approved leave, Frank was supposed to return to Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. However, he never arrived at the base, and no one has seen him since. Two years after his disappearance, in 1979, Frank's mother received a letter purportedly from him, stating that he was okay.
