Louis Holloway, aged 30 at the time, was last seen on February 9, 1984, in Gainesville, Florida. He lived at the Sunland Center, a facility for individuals with developmental disabilities, where he had been residing for most of his life. On the day of his disappearance, Holloway went to his job within the center but never returned to his cottage. There were no reports of him attempting to run away in the past, making his disappearance particularly concerning.
