Yien Khaun Saechao, aged 84, was last seen on July 3, 2005, in Redding, California. She left her residence near Camelot Court and St. Marks Street at approximately 7:00 a.m. to go for a walk but never returned. Witnesses reported seeing her walking eastbound on Lake Boulevard near the railroad tracks. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a green and black striped dress, a black fur hat, large hoop earrings, and silver and gold bracelets.
