On a November evening in 2011, Adarius Zewand James, a 30-year-old man from Chicago's West Side, walked out of his home, leaving behind his fiancée and their two young sons. He told his fiancée, Terrah White, that he was heading to a meeting in the vicinity of 79th Street and Ashland Avenue and would be back. That was the last time she ever saw him.
Adarius, also known by the nickname 'Pig,' was last seen wearing a cream-colored thermal shirt, blue jeans, and white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers. He was driving his black 2005 Saturn Aura. Since that day, there has been no contact from Adarius, and his whereabouts remain a painful mystery for his family.
Adarius is described as a Black male with a dark complexion, standing between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet tall, and weighing approximately 168 to 170 pounds. He had black hair worn in dreadlocks, brown eyes, and a mustache and chin hair. His physical appearance is further distinguished by several tattoos and scars. He has a tattoo of the word 'MADEMAN' on his lower left arm and another tattoo of a skull and cross with various other designs on his lower right arm. Additionally, he has scars on his chest from a previous surgery and a scar on his forehead. The investigation into his disappearance is being handled by the Chicago Police Department's Area Central detectives.
The years following Adarius's disappearance have been filled with anguish and a determined search for answers by his loved ones. His fiancée, Terrah White, has tirelessly pursued any potential leads, filing multiple police reports and even hiring private investigators in her quest to find him. In May 2017, she attended a 'Missing Persons Day' hosted by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office, bringing photos and police reports in the hope of finding some form of closure. She provided DNA samples from their son to be entered into missing persons databases, a step taken to see if there could be a match among any unidentified remains.
