Summary based on the NamUs case record (MP37563) and 10 other sources
Dylan Amaral, a 22-year-old from New Bedford, Massachusetts, went missing on November 8, 2016, during a fishing trip off Cape Cod Bay. Dylan, along with his father Carlos Amaral and friend Mario Fialho, departed from Sandwich Marina early that morning aboard a 23-foot boat named *Dad Sea Cave*. The group was one of three boats traveling together, with the plan to fish around Race Point near the tip of Cape Cod.

Around 2:00 PM, the other two boats, which had been fishing nearby, decided to return to port but were unable to locate the third boat with Dylan and his companions. After failing to make contact, a search was initiated. The U.S. Coast Guard and local authorities scoured the area between Sandwich and Provincetown, but no trace of the boat or the men was found, despite reports of an oil slick in the area. The search was eventually suspended on November 11, 2016, after extensive efforts yielded no results.

Dylan remains missing, and the case continues to be an unsolved mystery. His family and authorities have yet to find answers about what happened during that ill-fated fishing trip.
