In the time leading up to her disappearance, Holly Crider, a 38-year-old mother of three from Mansfield, Ohio, was facing significant personal and health challenges. She was separated from her husband, Jason Crider, though they remained on good terms. In the fall of 2016, she moved into an apartment in the 500 block of Allison Avenue, which she shared with a boyfriend. Holly's health was poor; she was in need of a lung transplant and required the use of an oxygen tank most of the time, though she could occasionally go without it for short periods. She also took daily medication for her ongoing health issues and was battling a drug addiction. Despite rumors that she had received a terminal diagnosis, her family has stated that doctors never told her she only had a few months to live. Her mother, Lisa Martin, noted that the last time she saw her daughter in person was at Holly's grandfather's calling hours in December 2016, and their last phone conversation was in late January or early February 2017. Holly Paige Crider was last seen in Mansfield, Ohio on or around March 25, 2017. Accounts of her disappearance are conflicting. Her boyfriend at the time told authorities that she left with someone she had met on the internet. He claimed she left all of her personal belongings behind, including her medication, medical equipment, and the oxygen she depended on. She had no car and no money at the time she vanished. Following her disappearance, her boyfriend disposed of all her possessions. However, there were also unconfirmed reports from witnesses who claimed they saw Holly being pushed into her boyfriend's black truck as she was trying to get out. It was her estranged husband who officially reported her missing on March 30, 2017. He had been unable to reach her since the middle of the month but initially waited to contact police because she had left for brief periods in the past, though she always returned. The investigation into Holly Crider's disappearance has been met with few leads and has grown cold over the years. Police have identified a person of interest, who is believed to be the last person to have seen her, but no suspects have been named. Investigators received information that she may have traveled to "places in the country" within Ohio, possibly in the Newark area, but searches of these locations have yielded no results. Her medications were never picked up, and her oxygen tanks were returned to the supply company shortly after she was reported missing. Holly's family does not believe she would have left without contacting them, particularly her three children, nor do they believe she overdosed. There is grave concern for her safety due to her fragile health and dependency on medical care. The case remains an active missing person investigation, a painful and unresolved chapter for a family left with unanswered questions about the fate of their loved one.
