Raymond Gregoire, aged 22, was last seen on February 1, 1982, off the coast of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Gregoire, along with two other men, Darren Lavigne and Richard Danis, was aboard a 40-foot gillnetter called *Chica*. The vessel was reported to have sunk about 40 miles southeast of Biddeford Pool during their fishing trip. Despite search efforts, only a hatch cover from the boat was recovered, and the three men, including Gregoire, were never found.
