His father had dropped him off at the top of Toland Road so he could go hiking in the Los Padres National Forest. He was expected to return later that day, but never did. Peter, who stood 6 feet tall and weighed about 140 pounds, was wearing a gray windbreaker, blue sweatshirt, white sweater, blue Levi's jeans, and brown tennis shoes.
