Howard Tokarsky, aged 45, disappeared on December 14, 1984, in Los Angeles, California. That day, Tokarsky, a resident of Granada Hills and operations manager of a Sylmar chemical company, left work early, telling his wife and colleagues that he was headed to the desert for target practice.
