On March 1, 2006, New York State Trooper Andrew J. Sperr, aged 33, was tragically killed in Big Flats, NY. The incident occurred during a routine patrol when Trooper Sperr encountered a suspicious vehicle on Lowe Road. Unbeknownst to him, the occupants of the vehicle, Bryan Adams and Anthony Horton, had just robbed the Big Flats branch of Chemung Canal Trust Co.
