On a summer day in late June of 1997, 44-year-old Male Monte Parrish, along with his wife Linda and their friends Donald and Karen Johnston, prepared for a sightseeing adventure over the Alaskan wilderness. On June 29, the four of them departed from Merrill Field in Anchorage, Alaska, aboard a yellow and white Cessna 182 airplane with the tail number N3186U.
