David Kapule, a 78-year-old man from Waimanalo, Hawaii, was last seen on October 4, 1999, after wandering away from his care home. Kapule, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease and a heart condition requiring daily medication, was being looked after by a family friend that morning. Around 6:00 a.m., while his caretaker was preparing breakfast, Kapule left his residence near Inoa Street and never returned.
