Roy Bickford, aged 77, went missing on October 13, 2003, while lobstering near Pemaquid Harbor, Maine. Bickford, an experienced fisherman, set out aboard his boat, *Sharon Marie*. His boat was later found adrift, with the engine running and a lobster buoy caught in the hauler, but there was no sign of Bickford himself. Despite extensive searches in the Damariscotta River and surrounding waters, Bickford was never located, and he is presumed to have drowned.
