Elisha Jane Trusty, a 17-year-old from Jeffersonville, Indiana, was last seen on July 9, 2004. She left her home that day wearing dark baggy blue jeans, a white T-shirt, and white sneakers. Elisha had a history of running away, and it is believed that she may have intended to travel to San Jose, California. Elisha suffered from bipolar disorder and often refused to take her medication, which added to concerns about her well-being.
Despite her history of running away, she has not been seen since, and her case remains unresolved.
At the time of her disappearance, Elisha was described as 5'4" tall, weighing 125 pounds, with strawberry-blonde hair often worn in a braid or ponytail, and blue eyes. She also wore glasses and had a scar on the back of her left calf. The Jeffersonville Police Department continues to investigate her case, but no new leads have surfaced in the years since her disappearance.
Authorities urge anyone with information to come forward, hoping to finally bring answers to Elisha’s family. Her case is listed with NamUs and other missing persons databases.Last Seen: Jul 9, 2004
